Nisza Zine 08 featuring Italy based artist Giacomo Sforza aka twopixx. Read the interview below! 😈
What inspired you to become a visual artist?
TWOPIXX: The thing that sparked my interest in Photoshop and for graphics, in general, was a school course that I did at the age of 13. In this course, they taught us to transform our face into the Na’vi of the Avatar movie. The idea that I could create something new and unique with a program fascinated me a lot.My first source of inspiration was the digital artist Bosslogic. I loved his fan art on the world of comics. I then started making covers after the release of The Weeknd’s Starboy album, making fan art based on the cover of that album.
Does the web have a large influence on your work?
TP: Yeah I use the web a lot, it is very useful for me to seek inspiration, in particular, I surf a lot on Instagram, Behance, Pinterest, and Deviantart. I think the web is a huge gold mine for those who create images. One of the things that amuse me the most is to search for new images on Shutterstock and Bing, to discover even more images.
What music are you listening to while creating your artworks?
TP: I mainly listen to my Trap, EDM, and Dubstep playlists on Spotify and Soundcloud. In particular, I listen, Travis Scott, Daft Punk, Skrillex, Kai Wachi, and Riot Ten. Lately, I am also listening to new genres such as Y2K Eurodance and Hardstyle.
Where would you like to see your artworks displayed besides the internet?
TP: My dream is to collaborate with a lot of different artists that currently inspire me the most. Sharing my vision as much as possible, through clothes, sculptures, books (yeah, I would also like to make a book with all my artworks) I also dream that the concept of my Colorblaze project will inspire the creation of a music album (I hope by Travis Scott or Daft Punk).
Who are your favorite artists at the moment or someone you would like to collaborate with in the future?
